Applications are normally open for comment for 21 days.
 
The applications shown below include all currently outstanding proposals where a formal decision has yet to be issued by the Council. Details of these applications can be seen at the Planning Department in the Old Grammar School, Hallgate, Hexham between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. For further information concerning the progress of an application you can contact us on 01434 652374 or 01434 652327.
 
If you wish to comment on an application you should normally do so within 21 days of the date that the application was registered. Any views received within this period will be taken into consideration by the Council in determining the application. Representations received after this period may be too late to be taken into account.
 
Please note that under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 any comments that you make will be available for public inspection.
 
The law requires the Council to make it's planning decisions in line with the policies set out in the Tynedale Local Plan having regard to other relevant planning issues such as more recent Government Planning Guidance. You may find it helpful to have a look at the policies in the Local Plan which provide details of the factors which will be important in determining planning applications. These include appropriateness of design and landscaping; impact on neighbouring property in terms of noise or other disturbance or loss of privacy; safety of access arrangements etc. Other factors, such as the personal circumstances of the applicant, property devaluation, loss of view and boundary disputes, will not usually be taken into account.
